Barbara Selby, owner of Barb's Quilt Nook in Kingsland, Texas, sent us photo of the Cabin Cats model that hangs in her shop. She chose dramatic blues and greens for the log cabin blocks. |

Veline A. from Alabama contacted us last spring. Her daughter-in-law was expecting and had chosen arctic animals for the nursery. We designed one for her. In exchange, Veline chose her own fabrics, tested the pattern, machine stitched the model as designed (left), and sent us a photo. But she also surprised us with a second design. Her daughter-in-law chose to put the animals in an Irish chain design (right)! And her teenaged son inspired the name of the new design: Awesome Arctic Animals

Donna M. from Texas purchased our Ludwig Lion pattern from us at the Dallas Quilt Celebration. The parents of the young recipient chose a "Prince of the Jungle" theme for their nursery. She said all Ludwig needed was a crown. She also added two more borders to create a larger finished quilt. |

Claudia B. from Minnesota stitched a turtle quilt for her soon-to-arrive grandson. Though she used our Myrtle Turtle pattern, we think this quilt needs a name change because it is all-boy! Additional borders make for a larger finished size. Thanks for the photos Claudia and enjoy your new grandson.

Veline A., a native of Utah now living in Alabama, stitched a Soccer Quilt as a baby/crib quilt for her friend's daughter who plays soccer and recently had her first child. The quilt was machine stitched and quilted. She chose to quilt cross hatching in the background and spirals in the border. Great job Veline. Thanks for joining our Gallery! |

Cara from Ohio used our Soccer Quilt pattern to stitch two special quilts. Her husband (above left) coaches their son's soccer team. He holds the "crib" size quilt with a single soccer ball signed by each member of the team. Cara plans to add a new soccer ball each year signed by the team.

Sherri from Ohio used her camera phone to snap these pictures. That's her grandson Ethan peaking out from under his new quilt. He has just turned two. Sherri used our Road Trip pattern in the center and surrounded it with a blue star fabric to create a twin size quilt. The backing fabric is a race car design. The quilt was made to match the transportation theme in Ethan's room. She says that Ethan loves it. So do we Sherri! |

Betty S. from Alabama stitched not one but ELEVEN quilts...one for each of the senior football players. She combined elements from our Football Quilt and Cheerleader Quilt to create the quilts. Each quilt was personalized with the player's number on the helmet. Iron-on transfers were used for the photo. Betty's friend embroidered the State Champions and player's name appliques.

![]() Annie F. from San Rafael, California shared four wall quilts: Myrtle Turtle, Amanda Panda, Up and Away, and The Spotted Pony. She hand appliqued them for the nursery for her baby girl due in September '03. We especially like her use of Winnie the Pooh fabrics in the turtle design. This is a great way to fussy cut a fabric. Annie chose to use a single stalk of bamboo, rather than three, for Amanda Panda. Up and Away features pastel fabrics and a small bunny as its passenger. Our Spotted Pony design was adapted for her little girl's room. The bear was omitted and the horse was stitched in pastels. Annie has been quilting for two years and stitches all of her quilts by hand. She has made Hawaiian quilts and practices the Japanese needlework technique of sashiko. Great job Annie! ![]() |

![]() Sharon D. from Beaver, Pennsylvania stitched our Basketball Quilt. This quilt, like the Football Quilt she made below, will be used for a school raffle. Thanks for sharing with us Sharon! |

Mary B. of New Caney, Texas used our Carousel Horse to stitch her entry for the Hoffman Challenge. She added the four corner animals to complete the design. Mary did a wonderful job on this quilt--so good in fact that it was selected to be part of the Traveling Quilt Show for 2001-02! |

![]() Barbara B. from Chandler, Arizona stitched Francois Frog for her grandson. The frog was renamed "Maxi" after a favorite story character. |

Sharon D. from Beaver, Pennsylvania made a Football Quilt and backed it with a colorful football print. A self-described "quilt junkie", Sharon stitched this quilt for her son's Catholic School football team raffle. She states that previous raffles of quilts have been quite successful.
